OK, this is going as far back into the songwriting archives as it is possible to go. Debbie's Wind is very special for me because, believe it or not, it is the first song I ever wrote. It was 1983, I was just out of high school, and I wrote it for the girl I was seeing at the time, who was basically Jean-Pierre Rampal in the body of a teenage girl. She could sight-read anything I put in front of her; it was really quite something to hear her play. She had just incredible technique and sound. Anyway, I finally was able to record the tune in a way that fully realized my original vision for it after it sat, unjustified and lonely, for 30 years. Features several good friends: Stacey Knights on flute, Dan O'Hara taking the keyboard solos, and Douglas Lichterman taking the guitar solo... I'm playing the drums, bass, keyboards and rhythm guitars.
